Antony Perry

Antony Perry

Antony Perry has always had a particular interest in oil painting. He trained at Camberwell College Of Art and Goldmiths in the 1980s and completed a BA Degree in Fine Art. He has continued to paint on an ad hoc basis – his interest is in light, colour and paint texture, and he is happy to paint either landscape or portraiture. He was successful in winning a “wild card” heat in the Sky Arts Landscape Programme in 2015 and 2020.

Antony enjoys painting a broad range of subjects encompassing landscapes and portraits and has frequently been told he has the ability to get into the personality of each subject and apply a sensitive and skilled approach to each project taken on. He has an imaginative eye for colour and uses a warm, rich palette to express his emotions when painting.

Antony’s recent work uses gouache paints on watercolour paper. Each work expresses the goal in creating a moment which is rich in colour and the bold brushstrokes and confident use of paint evoke a playful energy that portrays his zest for life.

Antony’s work can be seen in the Library.
