Joe Cerioni has been a Secondary school Art teacher for nearly twenty years, encouraging students to discover their creative side and to be curious about the world that we live in. This is a job that has allowed him to frequently produce art for both work and pleasure using a broad range of media and processes.
He believes that it is the artist’s role to seek out interesting, beautiful and sometimes ugly things in the world and respond to them creatively. He always carries a camera or a sketchbook and looks for anything that catches his eye. Working with watercolour, ink, acrylic and oil paint he produces work inspired by a wide range of subjects that catch his eye. More recently this has been exploring the urban and rural environment in and around Thame. He sketches whenever he gets a spare moment and likes to unwind by painting or drawing.
