Laura Bardell

Laura is a British artist who studied at Camberwell College of Art and Loughborough University where she gained a degree in Fine Art.
Her work is primarily focused on the local landscapes of Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, working in oil paint on canvas and board. Her work is hugely inspired by the seasons, light and the quiet beauty that is to be found in the landscape. She is drawn primarily to local landscapes, water and woodlands.

Laura finds the physicality, texture and often timeless qualities of her surroundings a constant source of challenge and inspiration. She is also conscious of its fragility and seeks to celebrate and respect the heritage of which we are caretakers. She feels most creative when Walking, visiting new places but sometimes just in the car going about her daily business. It’s not unusual for her to stop the car and jump out to take a photo of a beautiful sky or field!
Laura works from her studio in Long Crendon. Her work has been exhibited in fitch & fellows and also in Obsidian Art Gallery, Bucks as part of Bucks Art Weeks.

Laura’s work can be seen in Greyhound Walk from 10 – 16 October
