Meryl is a mixed media artist and has lived in Thame for 30 years. She began her artistic life with City and Guilds courses in watercolour then studied painting at Amersham College. She has exhibited and sold work in Brill, Oxford and in Thame as part of Oxfordshire Art Weeks and Thame Art Crawl.
She has always enjoyed experimenting with lots of different media and more recently has been incorporating a growing interest in textiles and stitching within her work. Since becoming a member of the Embroiderers Guild and their local group in Oxford, she has learned more about dyeing and stitching techniques. She produces Cyanotype prints on fabric, to which she sometimes adds embroidery. She feels most creative in her studio where she is inspired by natural forms.
